Description:
Contract to replace approximately 1500 external windows and doors throughout the hospital and install all windows and doors to ongoing new build projects.

Overview:
Under the monitoring processes of the contract Polar Windows has had to demonstrate consistently high standards in the following areas:-

• Adherence to installation schedule
• Quality of product and workmanship
• Infection control
• Environmental performance
• Liaison with clinical and maintenance staff
• Health & safety
• Public relations
• Flexibility of working patterns to minimise disruption
• All fitters CRB checked to protect the vulnerable adults that use the facility

Our achievements in all these areas has led to the contract being extended by 2 years and the nomination in the Government Opportunities - Excellence in Public Procurement Awards 2008 of which we are the only window manufacturer to achieve a finalist status.
